![]() ![]() The Farseer (= ranger spell) scroll is still craftable in EE as a dark blue scroll (= Aero scroll color), from an empty Aero scroll. Farseer was an Aerotheurge spell in Classic and became Marksman with EE. Green is the "ranger scroll color" (Expert Marksman).Īnother example for "simply forgotten" is the Farseer scroll. Spell shuffling happened during the development of Classic already, which is the reason why the "Magical Unlock Scroll", which is considered a Witchcraft spell and was in Classic already, is a green scroll. and I'm too lazy to look it up.)Įdit: even Classic was created with heavy time constraints and was released early since it was a decision between "release now" or "go bancrupt". (I don't remember if Resurrection was craftable in Classic but I doubt it. Of course, scrolls that do not exist in the game files cannot be crafted. I think all of these spells did not exist in Classic and were new in the Enhanced Edition. ![]() There are also some spells that did not even get scrolls in the Enhanced Edition - Netherswap, Summon Poison Slug, Decaying Touch and Mass Healing. The crafting system seems to have been the part that could not be fully converted in the transition. The Enhanced Edition did some spell shuffling between spell schools and introduced some new spells. Some were simply forgotten in the transition from Classic to the Enhanced Edition, probably due to time constraints. Not all recipes were left out for balancing reasons. (But using this mod is out of question because, like all other big mods, it requires starting a new game for all things to work.) I know one mod which contains recipes for *all* skillbooks (including Marksman, Scoundrel and Man-at-Arms) because I made the mod -) That might be a reason why it's not craft-able. If it's possible, you'll see a that tells you what you're missing.Įdit: Resurrection is technically a late-spell (recommended at master class) even though it's a novice class. If it says invalid, it's not possible/wrong. Options like actually enabling rez spellbook crafting.īut yes, you can normally craft randomly without reading/learning the recipe. ![]() What Frau is saying is there could be mods out there that have more spells, items, and options. Keep those books and combine them for all kinds of fun.Originally posted by Wovan:You can't craft rez spellbook. Mass corpse explosion (necro and pyro one of which is a source book) explodes all corpses in range for massive damage. Source skillbooks mixed with regular skillbooks (two source books just wastes a source book) make unique cross class source abilities that are incredibly powerful. The only difference comes from source skillbooks, the shiny ones that use source points found later game. Hail strike or rain mixed with a scoundrel book will still make the same skill. It doesn’t matter which skillbooks you use as the recipe only considers the overall skill. Huntsman and pyro makes an explosive trap skill and huntsman Geo makes throw dust that deals earth damage(great for Geo mains) and blinds. Hydro and scoundrel makes a vampiric ability that buffs a character for two turns to heal for 50% damage dealt to enemy vitality. Keep in mind that any magic based skillbooks can be combined with any physical ones (poly and necro are considered physical) to create new abilities. They get incredibly cheap as it isn’t hard to collect 50k or more gold by that time. Once you hit about level ten or twelve, those skillbooks are barely pocket change. Any skill not taken at character creation can be acquired using a skill book, but you’ll have to learn them through books, your starting skills cannot be altered. ![]()
